Ayur Diamond Star Classification - it's significance

To ensure that the quality and standards of Kerala Ayurvedic treatment and therapy are maintained and regulated, the Kerala government has introduced a classification system that helps people to select the best Ayurvedic centre in Kerala.

The classification is based on the facilities and services provided by the centres, and it consists of three categories: Ayur Silver, Ayur Gold, and Ayur Diamond. Ayur Silver is the basic category that offers the minimum facilities, while Ayur Diamond is the premium category that offers the maximum facilities.

Expected features needed to qualify for the Ayur Diamond Classification

It has a separate and private unit for each patient, with high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

It has a team of skilled and qualified Ayurvedic doctors and staff who have a degree in Ayurveda and are certified by the government.

It is located in a convenient and pleasant place, with clear signs in English for all the rooms and facilities. It also has fire and emergency procedures in place.

It organizes regular health camps and awareness programs for the public, and has enough amenities like chairs, parking space, etc. for the visitors.

It uses only quality medicines and oils from reputed companies for the Ayurvedic massages, treatments and therapies. It has all the necessary equipment and materials for the procedures, including steam bath and massage tables.

It has trained and certified male and female masseurs who wear badges and uniforms, and attend to the patients according to their gender. It keeps records of all the details and attendance of the staff and patients.

It has a dedicated yoga and meditation hall, where it offers regular sessions by expert instructors. It also integrates yoga with Ayurveda, as they are complementary systems of healing.
